The campaign is seeking $19,690 by Oct. 27. <BLOCKQUOTE><I>The Apollo command module used dials and gauges with a black/white color scheme that was easy-to-read at a seconds glance. The gauges themselves were designed so that there was a contrast between the hands and the dial for easy reading. The Futura font was used for all the labels on the command module after a study was done to determine what font would be the best to use.<P>We want wearers of the TELEMETRY Apollo Watch to be able to take a piece of the Apollo command module with them everywhere they may explore. The case is designed to have the feel of a gauge plucked out of the command module.<P>The design of the dial draws heavy inspiration from the gauges on the control panel using the same black/white color scheme and the Futura font. The design of the case went from various styles to what we finally settled on. I can see the connection, but if you want a real Apollo watch we all know what that is.

If you want something a little different then there's the various other watches we know the astronauts wore, or their recent reproductions like Dave Scott's Bulova or Neil Armstrong's Douglas. So I suppose I'm asking what's the point? It's nice enough but how many wrists do people have? I could buy it but when would I wear it? How big is the Apollo-connection watch collectors market?

It is nice though.
